When I first became a member of ISES some ten years ago, the association had 35 members, and attracted around 20 people to its not-so-regular networking events.

Today, as the result of the hard work and commitment of previous ISES Presidents, ISES UK is one of the largest chapters in the world, with over 240 members. Our member growth in the last year alone was 40%, and we currently have a 98% record of member retention. We have regular monthly networking events in some of the capitals leading venues, an industry leading educational programme and we have developed important strategic partnerships with Visit London and Insurex Expo-Sure.  We have forged relationships throughout Europe and the rest of the world and have developed a twinning programme with our ISES colleagues in New York. Our regular networking events now consistently attract over 150 people each month and at the recent AGM and Summer Party over 300 members and guests came to celebrate the end of an incredibly successful year.

Looking ahead for 2007, our focus is a simple one – Let’s Do Business! We want ISES to be an outstanding forum for developing professional development opportunities through communication, education and networking. We have exciting plans for a ‘Masterclass Breakfast’ series, some ‘Power Networking’ events and an enhanced programme for sponsors; all with the goal of ensuring you do more business.

We have an expanded board this year with an exceptional line up of experienced and talented people from every sector of the business, and with the incredible support of our members, sponsors and international colleagues around the world we continue to be seen as the leading association for the UK event industry.
