ISES at The Pharaoh's Palace - Tutunkhamen, The O2, North Greenwich 26th March 2008
ISES was thrilled to be able to welcome its members and guests to the stunning Pharaoh's Palace this month in the O2. Greeted by the consistently fabulous Esprit hostess girls, guests were sent through to the impressive hospitality suite for a reception of fine wine supplied by Revelstoke. After a presentation by president Mike Kershaw that included a an introduction to this fabulous venue by Tutankhamen Hospitality director Simon Gillespie, two of our top sponsors were brought into the spotlight to stand up and be acknowledged for their generosity and support of ISES over the past few months. Sponsor Focus of the month went to Emma and Kate Lumsden of Esprit Group and Simon Durrell from Spaceworks.
Newcomers to the ISES networking event format were able to take part in Mike Kershaw's own brand of 'speed networking' which encourages attendees to work the room with a 5 minute change-over at the ring of a bell. As well as providing an immediate ice breaker this enables new guests to seek out and network with as many new faces as possible. After a 15-20 minute session this formula stands the delegates in good stead for the rest of the evening. Create Food and Party Design provided an abundance of delicious food that fitted in beautifully with the opulent Egyptian theme of the night. One guest even described the desserts as being 'a slice of Heaven'. A big thank you also goes to Aubergine Event Staffing who attended to the guests so warmly and efficiently throughout the evening.
We were very excited this month to welcome martial arts performance group Sideswipe to London having formerly met them at a special events industry event over in Atlanta, Georgia in January earlier this year. Having had time to go and visit the world famous Tutankhamen exhibition, all guests were back in the Pharaoh's Palace in time to watch an incredible jaw-dropping performance of this extremely talented and dynamic team.
This event had an added sense of occasion with the presence of a film crew from MCM Productions. As well as designing and delivering a fantastic Power Point presentation for this month's meeting they were also filming this month's event for the footage to be later edited down into a new media show-reel for ISES UK ready to showcase to you all at the AGM later this year. It will also be used as a new, punchy marketing tool. ISES events are growing in both attendee volume as well in their notable success and we hope that this new look will give us an additional means of showing the rest of ISES International the exciting new developments of the UK industry.
