Over the past 100 years, the New Connaught Rooms has hosted and entertained the world's leading politicians, royalty, dignitaries, and celebrities. Today, having just been acquired by Principal Hayley Hotels and Conference Venues, one of Central London's favourite venue, situated in the heart of Theatre Land, has undergone a multi million pound make-over to re-launch The Grand Connaught Rooms with the lavish opulence of its glamorous heyday...with an elegant modern twist of course.

Rejuvenation was the theme of the ISES UK last Thursday night, at the newly renovated Grand Connaught Rooms, coordinated by Papillon Events. As guests arrived up the impressive, sweeping, marble staircase they were greeted by glamorous ladies dressed in 1940's style dresses reminiscent of the venue's glittering heyday. Drinks and delicious canapes were served in the Drawing Room to the sound of Paul Martin who crooned a tune. Both our meet and greet ladies and Paul were sponsored by the fabulous Paul Farris Entertainment. |

We were honoured to welcome Kim Mhyre, Vice President and Managing Director EMEA of George P. Johnson, to speak on our inspiring theme for the evening, rejuvenation. Presenting on the changing tide of the events industry with tightening budgets, emerging new technologies, and changing marketing priorities, Kim explained his views on how, ''forward thinking events suppliers can rejuvenate their approach to event marketing to take advantage of the even greater opportunities ahead.'' read more

The presentation set was impressively delivered by AV Projections with interactive voting technology supplied by IML allowing our President Elect, Richard Foulkes, to ask ISES members and their guests how much them were truly making the use of the benefits of their membership. |

Returning to The Drawing Room for further drinks, bowl food and networking, guests found, to their delight, that the room had been transformed, or rejuvenated, with our meet and greet ladies in dramatic modern versions of their previous outfits, along with vibrant, contemporary floral displays from Hybrid Flowers lit beautifully in warmer tones to set the scene.
The networking portion of the evening was facilitated by our VP Programmes Jeremy Hopkins who asked all guests to make their way to the lady whose costume matched the pattern on their name badge. All guests had been separated into groups prior to event in order to help newcomers integrate themselves more easily within the networking arena in a fun and accessible way. |

The next event will be held at the fabulous 33 Fitzroy Square, a venue by The Rouge Partnership and Amazing Spaces, for our Christmas House Party on 8th December!
