Welcome. The new ISES year is up and running and already, the 2009/2010 Board is striving hard to make your experience of this leading events association even more relevant, valuable, insightful and enjoyable. ISES has always been about harnessing the creative talents of the events community and its membership is made up of some incredibly creative minds. My Board of exceptionally talented and experienced Vice-Presidents, together with an advisory team of high profile industry figure-heads, are introducing initiatives that will create more business opportunities for members to pursue. Our focus is on connectivity and education and this will be reflected in the speakers, invited to talk at monthly ISES networking events as well as at the Regional Education Conference planned for 2010. |
| Newcomers to ISES networking events are able to interact and engage with other ISES members quickly and easily via introductions facilitated by our new ISES mentoring scheme. The time dedicated to networking at the beginning of each evening has been extended to allow for more business orientated conversations to take place before the speaker and entertainment elements. Speakers will cover a broader range of insightful subjects, more ice-breaker initiatives are being introduced to put reluctant networkers at ease and we also intend to showcase member offers over the course of the year. I will use ISES’s international status to drive further initiatives. We will connect, not just member to member, but we will also bring other like-minded association bodies together in order to share knowledge and working practices. So whether you’re an ISES stalwart or an events industry professional looking for a network that will enhance both your business and personal development, ISES has a great deal to offer. We are the UK chapter of a truly international society for industry professionals passionate about events. I hope you’ll join us for a year full of networking, education and inspiration.
