We are the UK chapter of a truly international society for industry professionals passionate about event marketing. ISES is an association that sits at the heart of the worldwide event industry, and is truly International with a network of over 7000 members across the world.
This network alone can provide enormous value in the current business climate, where we need people around us we can trust, people we know won't let us down. I believe, Trust and Collaboration are going to be the drivers in the event industry over the next 24 months. |

The society is all about harnessing the broad spectrum of talent across the events community and our membership is made up of some incredibly creative minds. Because it is creativity that makes the difference. We are in a time when planning, organisational attention to detail and responsible budget management are the expected entry requirements for those wishing to work in events. Creativity is the differentiator, or simply put IDEAS Matter. IDEAS that CONNECT People, IDEAS that CREATE excitement, IDEAS that INSPIRE. In short, ISES is a place for event marketers to get IDEAS. We have a focus on the development of the individual, ISES is not an association of companies or agencies, it is an association for individuals in companies or agencies. This year’s Board have both credible and relevant experience in this industry and, together with an advisory team of high profile industry figure-heads, are introducing initiatives that will create business and learning opportunities for our members to pursue. One of the key initiatives the chapter will be addressing over the coming year will be to spearhead the integration of the ISES event industry professional development qualification the CSEP (Certification for the Special Event Professional) which will recognise the growing professionalism of our industry. We have ambitions for the development of the association regionally in particular the creation of a branch of ISES in Scotland where a committee of industry professionals based in Glasgow will organise events so as to raise awareness and to encourage membership growth in the region.
Other new initiatives include a series of new ‘properties’ which underpin the ISES brand and its event programme, whilst maintaining the good balance of education and entertainment and interesting locations that ISES is renowned for. So if you’re an Industry newcomer or an events industry stalwart looking for a network that will enhance both your business and personal development, consider joining our network.
