ISES Indian Fusion at Studio Boardman

Date: From 22 Oct 2008
Time: From 6pm to 9.30pm

Thank you to everyone who joined us for networking, cocktails and curry in a glamorous Indian extravaganza!  Along with the fabulous snake dancer and henna artist by Calmer Karma, mind-blowing entertainment from celebrity magician Ravi Mayar, and even a guest speaker slot for Nina Wadia of 'Eastenders' and 'Goodness Gracious Me' fame, this months ISES event was a very unusual and memorable night.

Held at the truly fabulous Studio Boardman, guests were greeted by Esprit hosting staff, adorned with bejewelled turbans courtesy of Emma Boardman's Aladdin's Cave of an in-house costume department, guests enjoyed wine by Revelstoke and a platter of delicious Indian cuisine by, newcomers to the ISES scene, Khanna who further wowed the crowd with a plentiful and delicious buffet upstairs in the main room followed by traditional sweets later on.  Thank you to the staff from Aubergine for keeping everyone topped-up and well looked after throughout the course of the evening.  Thank you also to Storm Lighting and Sound by Design for supplying the staging, sound and lighting equipment.

Finally, thank you to all at Studio Boardman for not only providing this fantastic space, our dance floor filling DJ and impromptu break-dancer but also for letting ISES leave their mark (as you've never seen them before) with our logo emblazoned across the William Morris wallpaper in the reception room by their graffiti artist!

This months ISES event was held in association with Lucky Feather Events and Talent Management, run by ISES member Kate O'Neill MD of Cocktailstars, who have been promoting the James Whale Fund with Britain's Biggest Curry Party.  As well as hearing from charity patron Nina Wadia, we also welcomed the chief operating officer Nick Turkentine to the stage who talked of their aim to spread awareness of a relatively unknown and deadly form of cancer and James Whale's Britain's Biggest Curry Party programme, similar in principle to the Macmillan Coffee Morning format, as a fundraiser party template that could be repeated by other planners across the country.
