ISES Prepare To Be Inspired
Date: From 29 Sep 2009 Time: From 6.30pm to 9.30pm
We were delighted to see so many non-members join ISES UK for our networking event. It was testament to the work already put in by the new board and current ISES membership to broadcast the message that ISES is an organisation that is really going places and it’s an organisation that is right for you. The Saatchi Gallery networking evening had an action packed line up which was headlined by speeches from Michael Brown of Beatwax and Jules Stevenson from GSP. Both did an excellent job of inspiring delegates to get creative.
As part of our new agenda to allow members to showcase their companies, caterer Create and technical supplier Hawthorns took to the stage to answer questions about their business offer. Whilst later in the evening, VP of programmes Jeremy Hopkins invited delegates to participate in a game of quick-fire speed-networking.
I’m pleased to announce that our calendar of events is now planned for the remainder of the year and will be posted on the ISES website imminently. We all know how busy we get as the winter season approaches so this is a good opportunity to get the ISES networking dates in your diaries today so that you won’t miss out.

What networking event would be complete without a series of temptations in the form of canapés and drinks which were generously provided by Create and Majestic. With Designscene lending a note of contemporary fabulous in the way of furniture and decor and a collaboration between Footprint Scenery and Atmosphere Entertainmen in the launch of Pimp My Cloakroom,Com, there were also plenty of avant-garde surprises along the way!

I received so many “thank you for a great evening” comments and emails but obviously I was just the front man for the evening and those who really do the work are still too busy breaking down and packing away. The event would not have been such a huge success without the generosity of those who sponsored us. Hawthorns created a wonderful mood with the lighting and sound in the four galleries and design scene turned the space into workable areas, whilst keeping the arty theme alive. Create really did create some wonderful canapés, the foie gras macaroons were outstanding and the bowl food selection delicious. The wine supplied by Majestic was a great compliment to the food and helped the networking tremendously, both the food and drink were perfectly served by the team from Lola Events staffing agency. PimpMyCloakroom.com delighted guests as they arrived and secured their belongings until the end of the evening and Gallowglass Security kept us all safe (and away from the exhibits). The evening's education session was provided by Beatwax and Jules from GSP, the events management in house team at the Saatchi gallery. Thorns provided the wonderful white leather seating for the presentation. Entertainment provided by Atmosphere started with the Abercrombie and Fitch models with Duke providing the beatboxing on stage later on. We must not forget those often unsung heroes who clean up when we are all in bed, so a big thank you to NuKleen Services. Once again many thanks to all of our sponsors for their kindness and generosity.
See you all at Paramount on October 19th
