The First ISES Event of 2008
ISES opened the 2008 programme in style last night at contemporary chic Delfina on Bermondsey Street. Upon arrival guests were treated to entertainment from a jazz trio glamorously fronted by Staar Production's very own Abi Cater! Following a drinks reception and gorgeous canopes, created and served in-house by Delfina, guests were invited through to the main gallery for a sit down presentation by president, Mike Kershaw. In variation to previous formats, this month saw five individuals from different sectors of the industry take to the stage for a discussion panel on the outlook for 2008. Members of the panel included venue manager Guy Rodger of Delfina; Arthur Somerset, Director of Mask and previous ISES president; Matt Storey from event crew supplier Gallowglass; David Wolanski from the-recipe (and catering sponsor of our November event at The Gymnasium); and finally, Jeremy King editor of RSVP Magazine.
Staar Productions treated ISES members to a further glittering entertainment showcase by fabulously outrageous drag artist, Lola Lasagne who had the audience in high spirits before returning to the brightly lit allure of the bar provided by Bash Bars. Guests were then left to network and enjoy beer, fruit juices and Revelstoke fine wines as well as an abundance of delicious food, that came in generous supply from the Delfina kitchen, to the soundtrack of a Staar Productions DJ. A heartfelt thanks to all of our sponsors! Thank you for your generosity and support on this successful event. Here's to a fantastic start to a brand new year for ISES.
