The London Future Forum – a gathering of the event industry elite

28 May 2010

ISES UK Mayor Of London

The UK and Europe’s event industry elite, hosted by The International Special Events Society (ISES) and chaired by the Mayor of London’s office, will discuss London’s critical position as a centre of excellence for hosting major business events at The London Future Forum.

This exclusive, invitation-only event will take place on 24th June 2010 and coincide with the official launch of ICC London ExCeL, London’s exciting new international convention centre and a key part of the capital’s future global marketing pull.

Chaired by Dan Ritterband, Director of Marketing for the Mayor of London, and supported by a panel of expert global brand ambassadors including Kim Myhre, George P Johnson’s Senior Vice President and Richard Foulkes, Director of Imagination and President-elect of ISES, the forum will be attended by senior board representatives from over 40 event marketing agencies. The attendees will learn of London’s plans to further establish itself nationally and internationally as a centre of excellence for business tourism events and the conclusions of the debate during the forum will be communicated to the Mayor’s team as part of the strategy to build the city’s long-term competitiveness in this market.

“Creativity has been one of the most robust industries within the capital over the last 60 years,” comments Kim Myhre Senior Vice President, George P Johnson and board adviser to ISES. “This event provides us with a chance to underline London’s world class creative event marketing credentials and the new ICC London ExCeL forms a fitting backdrop to the discussions.”

The debate will take place at 9am on 24th June prior to the launch event for ICC London ExCeL. The event will be preceded by a group dinner the previous evening on site at ExCeL London.
