On 24 June, ISES UK teamed up with Visit London and the London Mayor’s Office to stage a fascinating think tank debate into the future of live events in the UK capital. The seminar took place at the new ICC ExCeL London on the morning this £165m venue officially launched. It attracted a panel of speakers that included the Vice President Marketing for CISCO, Amanda Jobbins, London Mayor’s Director of Marketing Dan Ritterband, Head of Events for Barclays, Sarah Wright, Kim Mhyre, Senior Vice President and Managing Director EMEA at George P Johnson, Richard Foulkes - Director of Special Events and Production at Imagination and the Director in charge of the 2012 Ceremonies Ceremonies at the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, Bill Morris. Topics discussed in front of a packed room of events professionals included business tourism, how technology will shape the future of events and the 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games. ISES UK was proud to have united such a strong delegation for topical and much-needed discussion. |
