End Of Term Note From The President

- If you’ve been out and about at major industry functions during the past month, you will have no doubt come across our incoming president Richard Foulkes. Prior to our official handover on 15 July at the ISES AGM and Summer Party, Richard has been putting himself and ISES UK firmly in the spotlight for the year ahead and I have no doubt that his enthusiasm and plans for our association will continue to benefit you as members and help us to play an ever-more key role in the development of the events industry. On 24 June, Richard joined a panel of experts engaged in a think tank debate into the future of live events in London.

ISES UK teamed up with the Mayor Of London's Office to stage this Future Forum as part of the opening of the ICC ExCeL London. Richard then represented the views of ISES members at the Summer Eventia Conference in Glasgow. He joined other association heads on stage to discuss the development of the industry as a whole and how member bodies can play their part more effectively. On top of his speaking commitments, our new President has been spotted at networking events, garden parties, venue openings and dinner engagements, flying the ISES flag for the year ahead and urging new members to come onboard. But the coming ISES year is not just about this one man dynamo. Richard has a new Board of equally enthusiastic Vice Presidents and together they will work tirelessly to ensure that the work we have started this year will continue and progress over the next 12 months. As for me, I shall continue to take an active role in this exciting and creative association in my role as Past President as we strive to develop the objectives we set out as part of our 3 year plan and bring ISES UK to the fore.
There has never been a better time to be an active partner or member of ISES and I would like to wish Richard and his new Board much success. I hope you will join me at Church House Conference Centre on 15 July to welcome in the new and toast all those that have played their part in ensuring a bright future for ISES UK and by definition, the creative events industry. All the best,
Zanine Adams ISES UK President |
