ISES "will collaborate, not combine" with other associations

Incoming president of the UK Chapter of the International Special Event Society Richard Foulkes said he wanted to make it “crystal clear” that ISES would be collaborating not combining with other trade industry associations as it tackles its objectives for the next year.
“We represent the individuals who are passionate about the creative side of the events industry, where ideas matter. We are not a company for companies or agencies, but for individuals. We know our niche,” he said. |
Speaking at a media forum at London’s INC Space, Foulkes said key objectives for the next year would be strengthening the ISES brand through a number of new properties: ISESTalks, which has already had two successful events; ISESForums, following on from the success of the London Future Forum with the Mayor of London’s office; ISESMeets, following on from the success of ISES Meet the Market (an initiative with Confex and Visit London) and ISES PowerHours, where the premise is to have tickets available for a small group to take part in a “can't buy experience”, such as a backstage tour of a concert in the two hours leading up to opening.
