General Information create food and party design is a well established catering company within London and a turnover exceeding 8 million Answerable to Caroline Gardiner & Richard Groves Holiday: 25 days Must have the following • At least 3 years experience in running events within an established catering and event company • The person must be quality driven and wants to strive to be at the top of their market • Financially astute and have experience in negotiating with suppliers • Flexibility with hours as we do operate unsociable hours • Communication skills • Attention to detail Your main tasks will be to deliver bespoke events to include plan, manage and be responsible for the team during the year. This will involve working closely with the sales team from create bespoke. Bespoke Operations • management of bespoke events and working with our events team • manage relationships with venues and management of all contractors & subcontractors employed by Create whilst on the venue premises • update venue bible • to provide high standards of performance and delivery • ordering of all equipment and development of relationships with suppliers • working closely with appointed staffing agencies and development of relationships • management of up to 100 staff at bespoke events • hands on with the ability to lead from the front at all times • ordering and management of all hired-in equipment • management of all Create owned equipment, including delivery & collection General • Puchasing and Delivering o Working in collaboration with other account directors to oversee spending, getting the best price for the best products and the tendering of main purchases o Signing off all purchase invoices and inputting on the BMS o Checking job reports • Staffing o forging relations with our own staffing agency “Lola” – educating, training, developing and supporting o managing relationships with external agencies (Esprit/ Splendid / AYS & High Society) o monitoring holiday o monitoring and scheduling of hours o allocating of jobs and responsibility o monitoring of performance in office and at events o management of all part-time & freelance waiting staff, porters and event managers for each & every event o internal training of sales staff to educate and keep up to date on equipment, • Create venue bible o responsible for the adherence to the create bible and venue bible o continually updating and enforcing o sales and operations versions • Health & Safety Oversee health and safety documentation within create working closely with the relevant people to ensure the below is done o passing on any updates/changes in policy to operations team and advising internally on H&S o monitoring accidents and incidents, logging them on central system and maintaining records o writing risk assessments and method statements for events • Additional Areas of Responsibility: To be adequately trained to perform the following duties; • First Aider • Personal Licence Holder
General Information create is a well established catering company within London and a turnover exceeding 8 million Must have 2 years experience in the catering industry and knowledge of central London venues Reporting to Operations Manager in the first instance Holiday: 20 days per year General • Overseeing all areas of the warehouse ensuring it is all well delivered • Management of the warehouse to include managing all our own equipment and storage of it, waste disposal, hygiene and safe working practices • Management of all create’s own crockery, cutlery and glassware externally to include monthly stock checks • Liaising with Head Chef, Operations and Sales Managers regarding all requirements in their areas • Vehicles – managing our own vehicles and setting up relationships with hire companies, negotiating rates etc • Hiring of all part time staff for Summer and Christmas season in the warehouse • Co-ordination of up to 15 freelance drivers and porters • Management of whole warehouse system for Christmas • Packing and unpacking of events and ensuring all events managers have everything they need • To manage all suppliers with regard receiving all deliveries and reporting shortages • To provide high standards of performance, appearance and hygiene • Flexibility with hours as we do operate unsociable hours • Communication skills • Attention to detailJoy Tareesut Email: Joy.Tareesut@createfood.co.uk Website: www.createfood.co.uk |
