Events Sales and Marketing Host

Description:Hub Kings Cross is looking for an exceptional Events Sales and Marketing Host to join our hosting team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in events and/or venue sales and marketing to position themselves at the heart of a unique ecosystem - designed to enable entrepreneurs, and others, working at the forefront of the social & ethical economy to thrive.
The Role Applicants will have experience in, and be responsible for: • Proactive business development - pursuing new business opportunities for evening and weekend hire of the Hub Kings Cross venue. • Increasing events revenue by driving sales by phone and arranging business meetings to promote the Hub in person. • Developing and implementing creative marketing strategies to promote the Hub events and space. • Developing promotional mail-outs and increasing use of digital media as a marketing tool. • Managing customer database systems to ensure all data is logged and managed effectively. • Exploring relationships with existing Hub venue hire clients to ensure opportunities for revenue generation have been maximised. • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the key venue finding agencies to increase conversion levels and revenue from this source. • Effectively managing client budgets to maximise revenue and meet client needs including negotiation of venue fees as appropriate. • Hosting clients throughout their event planning with the Hub, liaising on all levels during the pre-event phase and managing the transition to the event operations team for the execution of event. • Interacting with clients to obtain feedback on quality and service levels. Effectively responding to and handling client problems and complaints. • All general events administration including invoicing hire fees and following up outstanding payments. • Playing a key role in the Hub Kings Cross Hosting Team, including contributing to the Hub community and supporting the day & evening hosts in other ad hoc duties as and when required.
You You will have 1 to 2 years experience working at a venue in a sales capacity (or a similar role) and be a confident self-starter. Details This is a part time role, ideally 3 days a week (but we may be flexible for the right person).
