Investor communications activities include financial roadshows, AGM’s, results presentations, analyst briefings, conferences and investor relations. Perhaps the most challenging and complex form of investor communications is the roadshow which typically lasts two to three weeks travelling throughout Europe, the US, and Asia. |
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join a dynamic team to perform a very demanding but rewarding role within the roadshow logistics department. You will gain a lot of experience and responsibility in a short period of time and take on real project responsibility. Frequent global travel will be an integral part of the role. The logistics department comprises of three key roles – logistics (travelling), roadshow desk (office based) and travel (office based). The ideal candidate would essentially work in one of the three roles and would also be encouraged to develop their skills in at least two of the three disciplines. Below is an outline of responsibilities for the role: Logistics (travelling): • Main point of contact for all logistical requirements whilst travelling around the world on high profile financial roadshows. • Source and book suitable venues for the group presentations / meetings and organise all catering and hostess requirements. Constant liaison and negotiation with main hotel contacts to build and maintain relationships. • Reserve chauffeur driven ground transport in each city, through our preferred suppliers, and manage the respective teams of drivers. • Responsibility for the logistics budget, from initial costing to post-event reconciliation. The logistics element of a roadshow is easily the largest proportion in terms of cost, therefore requires careful control and accurate management. • Main trouble-shooter, travelling ahead of the team, to confirm that all arrangements are in place before the client’s arrival. This includes being the on-site contact at all overnight accommodation and group meetings. • Preparing restaurant reservations and weekend activities where necessary. • Oversee the production of internal roadshow materials and distribution of external documentation provided by the banks.
A Logistics Manager is a client-facing role and therefore the suitable candidate needs to communicate well at all levels and be able to work under pressure and to frequent deadlines. They also need to communicate well at all levels and be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines and should also be prepared to work demanding hours both on the road and in the office. The candidate should be team spirited and willing to help others when the need arises. In addition, they must show initiative and enthusiasm and possess the following characteristics / skills: Accurate – strong eye for detail Highly organised and able to prioritise Flexibility Computer literate (good MS Excel competency essential) Ability to remain calm under pressure Knowledge of foreign languages useful Previous knowledge / involvement in financial sector a bonus Business travel background advantageous
